Leave no trace
Some companies leave their waste altogether, others leave it with small communities that simply don’t have the infrastructure to deal with it sustainably.
“Having a mobile incineration unit on-site is one way to address this challenge.”
A lot of mining and oil companies are on board with the leave no trace scheme, which is essentially a way of promoting conservation in the outdoors.
Typical solutions that remote locations can benefit from
We have worked with peace-keeping missions across the globe, where our engineers have travelled to camps worldwide installing incinerators. We have an in-depth understanding of the complexities at play in the formation of temporary operating bases."

Portable Incinerator Project
These medical incinerators have been designed to operate at temperatures over 850°C ensuring eradication of harmful bacteria on contaminated waste.
Preventing Spillover: Stopping Outbreaks at the Source
Many of the gravest pandemic threats, like avian influenza, first emerge when pathogens jump from animal hosts to humans. This spillover poses a major risk of disease emergence and spread. To prevent spillover and stop outbreaks before they start, we must target high-risk human-animal interfaces with effective infection control measures.
Inciner8 works with conservation groups and development organisations focused on spillover prevention and improving health. We provide solutions to safely dispose of animal carcasses and waste in areas where humans and wildlife come into close contact.
By providing biosecurity at the source and reducing the risk of disease transmission from animals to humans, we help minimise the chances of zoonotic disease emergence. Inciner8’s solutions are a key component of the comprehensive effort needed to prevent the next pandemic.
Mobile Solutions for Rapid Outbreak Response
When an outbreak hits, every hour counts. Inciner8’s trailer-mounted incinerators can be rapidly deployed to provide immediate biosecurity anywhere in the world. Our units have been used to quickly contain outbreaks of Ebola, Lassa fever, monkeypox virus, avian influenza and more.
The ability to safely dispose of infectious waste on-site is critical for preventing the spread of the pathogen to new areas. With Inciner8’s mobile incinerators stationed in strategic locations, the global health community can mount a faster, more effective response to epidemic and pandemic threats.
Scalable Capacity for Pandemics and Mass Casualty Events
Inciner8 offers a range of incinerators to meet the needs of any outbreak scenario, from small units for local response to high-throughput models that can handle tonnes of waste per day. For pandemic preparedness, we offer some of the largest-capacity mobile incinerators on the market, capable of processing massive volumes of contaminated waste. Our technology has been used after natural disasters, mass fatality events, and humanitarian crises when local infrastructure is overwhelmed.
With Inciner8, you can be confident that you’ll have sufficient biosecurity capacity for even the most severe pandemics.

Waste incineration refers to the burning of waste for disposal and energy recovery. It’s an alternative to sending waste materials like municipal solid waste, medical waste, and general waste to landfills. Incineration can reduce the volume of waste by up to 90% while also generating electricity, making it an essential part of sustainable waste management.
Many types of waste can be incinerated rather than landfilled. The most common waste for incinerators include:
- Municipal solid waste, like household waste and food waste
- Hazardous industrial waste, such as chemical and medical waste
- Other high-volume waste streams, including construction debris
Proper sorting at the waste facility ensures only non-hazardous materials are fed into municipal incinerators. Hazardous waste incinerators have additional safety precautions for these materials.
Waste incineration, when done properly, offers three key benefits:
- It greatly reduces the volume of waste, decreasing the amount that must be landfilled. This saves landfill space and extends landfill lifetimes.
- Some models allow for energy recovery from waste. The heat from incineration can be used to produce steam to generate electricity, allowing waste plants to produce their own power.
- It sanitises medical waste prior to disposal. Medical waste incinerators allow for the safe, complete destruction of hazardous materials like needles, blood products and anatomical waste.
Incineration is an integral part of modern waste management that enables sustainable disposal of waste while also recovering valuable energy. By burning waste at high temperatures, incinerators significantly reduce waste volumes as well as sanitise hazardous materials.
While waste incineration has faced criticism in the past, advances in pollution control technology have dramatically reduced emissions from modern incinerators. When integrated with proper pre-processing techniques like sorting, shredding, and drying along with careful monitoring and maintenance, incineration allows waste management facilities to safely and sustainably handle a wide variety of waste.
