Queens Award for Innovation 2016

The Queens Award for Enterprise Innovation was awarded to Inciner8 in 2016 for our containerised incinerator model with waste to energy capability. Winning The Queen’s Award allows Inciner8 to fly the Queens Award Flag at our main office in the UK. We were also given a Grant of Appointment (an official certificate) and a commemorative crystal trophy that we can display in our offices and on our website and social media platforms.

Since winning the Queens Award for Enterprise: Innovation, Inciner8 have benefited from world wide recognition of the award. Inciner8 have also had a boost in staff morale as such a big award has been seen as recognition for all the hard work at Inciner8.

Queens Award for Enterprise International Trade 2016

In 2016, Inciner8 were awarded The Queens Award for International Trade. We were given this award as a recognition of our outstanding growth in overseas sales, providing waste management incinerators to over 145 countries. To make this happen, we collaborated with key partners and charities such as the United Nations and aid organisations. Supplying for customers overseas comes with the constant challenge of legislation and regulations, but at inciner8 we have used this as an advantage to improve our products and stand out from our competitors.

2016 was a successful year for Inciner8, being one of only six double winners for the Queen’s Award for that year.

MIB Awards 2017

The Merseyside Independent Business Awards are a non-profit awards ceremony, founded in 2013 by Morecrofts Solicitors. The awards were designed to give independent businesses across Merseyside a platform and celebrate the business success, employees and those who support them.

There is an awards ceremony each year with around thirteen different categories including an overall winner for Independent Business of the Year.

In 2017, Inciner8 were crown Merseyside Independent Business of the Year, as well and winning the award for Trades or Manufacturing Business of the Year. We now have two MIB awards on display in our reception area, alongside many of our other achievements.

DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs)

DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs) are a UK government department that oversee the regulations and safeguarding of anything to do with the environment, food and farming industry.

All of our small animal incinerators are DEFRA type approved, meaning they meet the set regulations and has been approved for burning 50Kg of animal carcasses. Regulations state that the gas must be held at 850⁰C for at least 2 seconds, or 1100⁰C for 0.2 seconds. This can be achieved by using a secondary chamber to retain the gases.

DEFRA approval means that out machines have been tested for clean burning and meet the environmental regulations. You can now find all of our DEFRA approved incinerators on the approved incinerator list on the official DEFRA website.

ISO 9001 Certification

ISO 9001 Certified means that a company or organisation has met the requirements which defines an ISO 9001 Quality Management System. This identifies whether your current Quality Management System is effective and identifies any issues and implements improvements.

To become ISO 9001 Certified, you must meet the requirements for all areas of the business. This includes facilities, training, people, services, and equipment.

Inciner8 are fully ISO 9001 accredited and audited. It is a highly recognised certification that has allowed us to reach a wider range of customers, improve our processes, and engage our staff.

CIWM (Chartered Institution of Waste Management)

CIWM (Chartered Institution of Waste Management) is the leading professional body for resource and waste professionals. They are able to influence and voice legislation and policy regarding waste management across the UK. The aim of CIWM is to make the best use of resources and decisions to protect the environment.

Inciner8 are an official member of CIWM. This allows us to keep up to date with the sectors policies and legislations. It also demonstrates our high level of knowledge about the waste management sector, alongside our accomplishments and achievements within the sector.

CIWM is a highly recognised professional body that has allowed Inciner8 to further expand our knowledge in the waste management sector, and prove our commitment to legislation and policies.
